Can you use two Magic Eye TV Link's with one Sky HD Box ?
I have a Pace Sky HD box in my living room and I have a Sky branded Magic Eye TV Link connected to it so I can view Sky in my bedroom whilst allowing me to change channels from a second remote in my bedroom.
Whilst the remote control in the bedroom works great, the remote control in the living room has to be pointed directly at the Sky HD box before the Pace HD box picks up the infra red signal. Apparently the rubbish infra red receiver is a known "feature" of the new Pace HD boxes.
So what I was thinking of doing was buying an RF socket splitter that would allow me to plug a second Magic Eye TV Link into my Sky HD box and then put the Magic Eye sensor on top of my TV in the living room. As this has a much superior infra red detector on it than the Sky HD box, then in theory, the remote control in the living room will operate the Sky HD box without having to point it directly at the HD box.
Has anyone done this ? Is it even possible ?
