Please help me. Does anyone have an answering machine that will answer call waiting calls?

I have an expensive ATT answering system that does not answer my call waiting calls (calls I receive when I'm on the phone). Customer service at ATT said that no answering machines can do that. This can't be...can it? I appreciate any experiences that people can share on this.

Let me answer this one. It is an interesting question.

Based on your question, I think you want calls to go to voice mail if you are busy talking on the phone.

This is exactly what I do:-

1. TURN OFF CALL WAITING. It is annoying anyway.

2. Turn on CALL FORWARD ON BUSY TO VOICE MAIL. Most service provider provide this option. You can get Voice Mail from the phone company.

3. If you don't want to buy Voice Mail from the phone company, you can do CALL FORWARD ON BUSY TO your CELL PHONE. Let cell phone rings and call will go to Voice mail. Typically Call Forward On Busy is 1$ per month. I had used this option before.
